Vrindavan Yojna's infrastructure in October 2026 rests on one finished road, Shaheed Path, plus three public projects that are funded but not yet built: a ₹265 crore city bus terminal, a ₹1,184 crore convention centre and a 12-acre AI City. The Lucknow–Kanpur Expressway opened in July 2026 near Shaheed Path, while metro to Vrindavan Yojna is still only a draft idea.

Which Vrindavan Yojna infrastructure projects are real, and which are still plans?

Of the ten projects buyers hear about for Vrindavan Yojna, four are finished, one has a construction contract, two are cleared without a start date and three are drafts. This is the table we use with clients, sorted by how certain each one is.

Our rule of thumb: only the top four rows should affect what you pay today. The middle three can affect what you earn in rent or resale after 2028. The last three should not enter your price talks at all.

How does Shaheed Path connect Vrindavan Yojna to the rest of Lucknow?

Shaheed Path is a 23.55 km four-lane road, about 22.5 km of it on flyover, finished in 2012 between Transport Nagar on Kanpur Road and Chinhat on Ayodhya Road. It ties together NH-25 (Kanpur), NH-56 (Sultanpur), NH-28 (Ayodhya) and NH-30 (Raebareli), and Vrindavan Yojna sits on its south side.

In practice this is why the scheme works for SGPGI, Medanta and Sushant Golf City office-goers. From Eldeco Saubhagyam in Sector 9, we measured these road distances on 1 October 2026:

The weak spot is Raebareli Road itself. We did not find any sanctioned widening or flyover for the Telibagh–SGPGI stretch in 2025–26, and claims about one on property sites are unverified. If you work in Hazratganj or the old city, test the evening drive before you book.

What does the Lucknow–Kanpur Expressway change for Vrindavan Yojna?

The 62.76 km Lucknow–Kanpur (Awadh) Expressway opened on 13 July 2026, and its Lucknow end joins NH-27 near Shaheed Path in south Lucknow. For Vrindavan Yojna that means Kanpur in roughly 45 minutes via Shaheed Path, against two hours or more on the old highway.

Two honest caveats. Parts of the new road showed cracks and subsidence after the first rain, within weeks of opening, and NHAI took action against a contractor. And the benefit is mostly for people with work or family in Kanpur or Unnao. It is a commuting plus, not a reason for prices in Vrindavan Yojna to jump.

Is metro coming to Vrindavan Yojna?

No metro line to Vrindavan Yojna has been sanctioned as of October 2026. The Union Cabinet cleared Lucknow Metro Phase 1B on 12 August 2025, an 11.165 km east-west line costing ₹5,801 crore, but it runs from Charbagh through the old city to Vasant Kunj, far from this area.

The only lines near the scheme sit in UPMRC's draft Comprehensive Mobility Plan, reported in June 2026: a 9.8 km CG City–SGPGI corridor among 12 new corridors, awaiting a state decision. An older idea extends the Red Line from the airport to SGPGI. Neither has a DPR. If a seller tells you metro is coming soon, ask for the sanction order. Our metro status note has the full detail.

What is being built inside Vrindavan Yojna right now?

Three public projects are lined up inside the scheme itself, all announced between April and October 2026. Each has its own guide on our site.

• Convention centre, Sector 15: a 10,000-seat exhibition-cum-convention centre on the old Defence Expo ground. J. Kumar Infraprojects got the ₹1,184 crore EPC contract on 3 April 2026 with 24 months to build, so about 2028.
• Integrated city bus terminal, P-4 parking: ₹265 crore on 7.06 acres, cleared by the UP cabinet on 9 October 2026 under PPP. Omaxe Ltd quoted the highest upfront premium in the tender and has been proposed as developer. No opening date yet.
• AI City, Sector 15: 12 acres on a 45-year PPP lease, cleared by UP Awas Vikas Parishad on 29 April 2026. A developer is still to be chosen through an RFP.

Only the convention centre has a signed contractor. That is the one to watch for site work in 2027.

What other roads and projects around Lucknow matter for Vrindavan Yojna?

Two more pieces sit just outside the scheme: Kisan Path and the Green Corridor. Kisan Path, the 104 km outer ring road built by NHAI, had its major sections opened in March 2024. It takes through-traffic off Shaheed Path and gives a ring route to Sultanpur Road, Barabanki and the Purvanchal Expressway side.

The LDA's 28 km Green Corridor along the Gomti runs from IIM Road towards Kisan Path. Phase 1 (6.8 km) has been in use since January 2024 and phase 2 (9.6 km) is under construction. Phases 3 and 4, from Pipraghat to Shaheed Path and on to Kisan Path, are still planned. When built, they would give Vrindavan Yojna a riverside route to the city centre, but there is no completion date yet.

At city level, Lucknow's airport opened its ₹2,400 crore Terminal 3 in March 2024, and the State Capital Region notified in July 2024 covers Lucknow and five neighbouring districts, including Raebareli, over 27,826 sq km. SGPGI next door added a ₹601 crore emergency medicine and kidney transplant centre in January 2022.

How much is infrastructure already in Vrindavan Yojna prices?

Most of what is built is already priced in. Flats in Vrindavan Yojna were asking about ₹6,900 per sq ft in September 2026, while registered sales in several ready societies were between ₹5,500 and ₹6,300 per sq ft. The land circle rate has been ₹28,000 to ₹50,000 per sq m since 1 August 2025.

The gap between asking and registered prices is where infrastructure talk gets used in negotiation. Our advice:

• Pay for what exists: Shaheed Path access, SGPGI and Medanta nearby, the airport in about 11 km and the new Kanpur expressway.
• Do not pay extra for what is pending: the bus terminal, AI City and convention centre help rents and resale later, but none is open, and two have no start date.
• Ignore metro in price talks: it has no sanction.
• Check your own route: a flat 2 km from the Shaheed Path ramp and one 5 km from it are different daily lives, even inside the same scheme.

Which sectors gain most from the new projects?

Sector 15 gains most, because the convention centre and AI City are both there, and the housing sectors next to it are 14, 17 and 18. If the bus terminal's P-4 site is in Sector 9 as a 2025 report said, the Sector 9 to 12 group-housing belt gains from bus routes and shops.

• Sectors 14, 17, 18: ready flats such as Arsha Sumangalam, Neelkanth Dreamz and the UP Awas Vikas Parishad Everest and Himalaya Enclaves; most likely to see event-week and hotel-linked rental demand.

From Eldeco Saubhagyam in Sector 9, the Shaheed Path flyover ramp is 1.9 km by road and CCS Airport about 11.1 km, measured on 1 October 2026. SGPGI is 5.3 km and Charbagh station 10.9 km. Other sectors will differ by a kilometre or two.

Does the Lucknow–Kanpur Expressway help Vrindavan Yojna?

Yes, for anyone travelling to Kanpur or Unnao. The expressway opened on 13 July 2026 and joins NH-27 near Shaheed Path in south Lucknow, cutting the Kanpur trip to about 45 minutes. Early road damage after the first rain means the surface still needs watching.

Will these projects raise property prices in Vrindavan Yojna?

Built roads are mostly priced in already, with flats asking about ₹6,900 per sq ft in September 2026. The convention centre and bus terminal should help rents and resale once open, around 2028–30. We would not pay extra today for projects that have not started.
