Short answer
- Approved: Phase 1B, Charbagh to Vasant Kunj. It runs through old Lucknow, not Vrindavan Yojna.
- Proposed only: a CG City–SGPGI corridor, in the June 2026 draft plan. No route, stations or dates are published.
- No DPR yet: the metro corporation says it will prepare detailed project reports only after the state approves the plan.
- For buyers: do not pay a "metro premium" in Vrindavan Yojna today.
Is there a metro station in Vrindavan Yojna?
No. As of Sep 2026 there is no operating, under-construction or approved metro station inside Vrindavan Yojna.
- Lucknow's only operating line is the Red Line, about 23 km with 21 stations, from CCS Airport to Munshipulia.
- It runs through Charbagh and the Kanpur Road side of the city, not the Raebareli Road side where Vrindavan Yojna sits.
- Daily travel from Vrindavan Yojna still depends on Amar Shaheed Path, Raebareli Road and your own vehicle.

What does Lucknow Metro Phase 1B cover?
Phase 1B is an 11.165 km East-West line from Charbagh to Vasant Kunj, approved by the Union Cabinet on 12 Aug 2025 at a cost of ₹5,801 crore.
| Item | Phase 1B |
|---|---|
| Route | Charbagh to Vasant Kunj (East-West) |
| Length | 11.165 km |
| Stations | 12 (7 underground, 5 elevated) |
| Cost | ₹5,801 crore |
| Approval | Union Cabinet, 12 Aug 2025 |
| Network after completion | About 34 km |
- The line serves old Lucknow. It does not touch Vrindavan Yojna, SGPGI or Raebareli Road.
- Its value for a Vrindavan Yojna buyer is indirect: a Charbagh interchange to the rest of the city.
Which proposed corridors could reach Vrindavan Yojna?
Lucknow's draft Comprehensive Mobility Plan, reported in June 2026, lists 12 new metro corridors. Only a proposed CG City–SGPGI line points toward Vrindavan Yojna.
| Proposed corridor | Length | Why it matters here | Status (Sep 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|
| CG City – SGPGI | 9.8 km | Starts at CG City on Sultanpur Road and ends at SGPGI, beside Vrindavan Yojna | Draft plan only |
| CCS Airport – Kalli Paschim | 15.5 km | Toward Raebareli Road and Omaxe Metro City | Draft plan only |
| Vasant Kunj – Kalli Paschim | 34.8 km | Long outer link to the Kalli Paschim side | Draft plan only |
- The plan still needs a state government decision. Detailed project reports come after that, then central approval and funding.
- No alignment, station list or target year has been published for any of these lines.
- Phase 1B took years to move from proposal to approval in 2025, so treat any date for these corridors with caution.
What should buyers do with metro claims in brochures?
Treat any "metro coming by 2027" line about Vrindavan Yojna as unverified. No approval exists to back it as of Sep 2026.
- Ask the seller for the approval document. A news report of a draft plan is not an approval.
- Do not accept a higher rate per sq ft because of a proposed station.
- Price your purchase on what exists today: Amar Shaheed Path, SGPGI, schools and the airport road.
- Ready societies near SGPGI, such as Everest Enclave and Azea Botanica, already have that access.
- Our view: if the CG City–SGPGI line is approved, flats near the SGPGI end may gain. That is upside, not a reason to stretch your budget now.
How is Vrindavan Yojna connected without a metro?
Vrindavan Yojna depends on roads: Amar Shaheed Path runs along its edge and links Raebareli Road, Sultanpur Road and Kanpur Road.
- Amar Shaheed Path is a 23.55 km four-lane road, complete since 2012.
- Kisan Path, the 104 km outer ring road, opened its main sections in March 2024.

FAQs
Is metro coming to Vrindavan Yojna, Lucknow?
Not on any approved plan as of Sep 2026. A CG City–SGPGI corridor appears only in Lucknow's June 2026 draft mobility plan, which still needs state approval. No detailed project report, route or station list exists, so no reliable date can be given for a metro in Vrindavan Yojna.
Which Lucknow metro line is under development now?
Phase 1B, the East-West line from Charbagh to Vasant Kunj. The Union Cabinet approved it on 12 Aug 2025: 11.165 km, 12 stations and ₹5,801 crore. It serves old Lucknow and does not pass through Vrindavan Yojna or the Raebareli Road side.
Does a proposed metro raise property prices in Vrindavan Yojna?
A proposal alone should not change what you pay. Prices usually respond once a line is approved and construction starts. In Vrindavan Yojna, value today comes from SGPGI, Amar Shaheed Path and established societies, so judge a flat on those, not on a draft corridor.
