New Jail Road is the road through the Gosainganj and Mohanlalganj belt of south-east Lucknow, past the District Jail at Gosainganj (PIN 226301). In Sep 2026 it had one large UP RERA-registered project, Eldeco Solano Gardens, and Awas Vikas's Saumitra Vihar Yojna was due to open registration in November.

Where is New Jail Road, Lucknow?
No government source we found defines where New Jail Road starts and ends. What the records show:
- Lucknow District Jail is at Gosainganj, Mohanlalganj, PIN 226301.
- UP RERA records Eldeco Solano Gardens at "New Jail Road" in Khujoli and Dharmanghat Khera villages.
- Listings refer to Khujauli Chauraha on New Jail Road.
- News reports place Saumitra Vihar Yojna "on New Jail Road, beyond Gosainganj".
So the road runs through the belt between Kisan Path, Gosainganj and Mohanlalganj. Brokers use the name loosely for anything in that belt, so always ask for the village and khasra of a plot, not just "New Jail Road".

- 29 Sep 2025: LDA demolished about 10 bighas of illegal plotting at five places on New Jail Road, Gosainganj, and 20 bighas at Dularmau.
- 29 Jan 2026: LDA demolished 4 illegal layouts over 18 bighas in Bakkas, an IT City village.
- 6 Jun 2026: sale and transfer in IT City Phase 1 villages, including Khujoli and Bhatwara, need the Collector's written permission.
Before you pay for any plot here, check four things: the UP RERA number on up-rera.in (for a layout above 500 sq m or 8 plots), the LDA layout sanction letter, the khatauni on upbhulekh.gov.in, and whether the khasra falls in the IT City or Saumitra Vihar land.
