From the Kisan Path and Sultanpur Road junction, where LDA IT City begins, Lucknow airport is about 24 km by road and HCL IT City about 7.6 km. From Mohari Kalan on the Saumitra Vihar side, the airport is about 27 km. We measured these on 30 Sep 2026.

- Under construction: a 1.8 km four-lane link from the Green Corridor to Sultanpur Road, and Green Corridor Phase 4 from Shaheed Path to Kisan Path.

- Metro: none approved for this area; CG City corridors appear only in a draft plan of Jun 2026.

Which roads serve the belt?
- Kisan Path (NH-230): Lucknow's 104 km outer ring road, open since Mar 2024. It passes about 1 km from Mohari Kalan and meets Sultanpur Road near Chand Sarai to the north-east and Raebareli Road to the west.
- Sultanpur Road (NH-731): the main road into the city past HCL IT City, Ekana and Shaheed Path. We found no widening project on it in 2025 or 2026.
- Purvanchal Expressway: open since 16 Nov 2021; it starts at Chand Sarai near Gosainganj.
- Green Corridor Phase 4: 6.3 to 6.5 km from Shaheed Path to Kisan Path, 24 m wide, under construction with no completion date given.
- Green Corridor to Sultanpur Road link: 1.8 km, four lanes, ₹33 crore, tendered in Apr 2026 and under construction by May 2026.
- IT City to Kisan Path link: 2 km, part of the scheme plan.
- Shaheed Path elevated road: about 23 km, at study stage with NHAI as of Jun 2026.
The new links mostly serve IT City and Wellness City to the north. For Saumitra Vihar and New Jail Road, Kisan Path is the main road out.
Is there a metro to IT City?
No. The draft Comprehensive Mobility Plan of 17 Jun 2026 proposes an Indira Nagar to CG City line (11.5 km) and a CG City to SGPGI line (9.8 km). CG City is the HCL and Ekana cluster on Sultanpur Road, not the new IT City. Both lines await approval, and detailed project reports will follow only after that. The nearest railway station to Saumitra Vihar is Anupganj in Gosainganj, with few passenger trains.
Where are the jobs near IT City?
- HCL IT City: 100-acre IT campus on Sultanpur Road, working since 2016, planned for 25,000 direct jobs.
- IIIT Lucknow: in the same CG City cluster.
- LDA IT City: land reserved for IT and industry, reported at 350 to 400 acres, to be allotted to investors through Invest UP. No company had been named by 30 Sep 2026.
- Wellness City next door: about 150 acres planned for hospitals and a medical college.
The planned IT land is an allocation, not working offices yet. Plan your purchase around what exists today: HCL, Ekana, Medanta and the Shaheed Path cluster.
What happens next?
- Nov 2026: public launches planned for IT City (LDA) and Saumitra Vihar registration (Awas Vikas), per reports.
- Green Corridor works: Phase 4 and the Sultanpur Road link under construction.
- Metro: CG City lines await approval of the mobility plan.
We found no dated milestones from LDA or Awas Vikas for 2027 to 2030 for either scheme.
